Evi Lovin was 15 years old when she received her first DSLR camera and instantly fell in love with the art of expressing herself visually. Already enrolled in high school journalism courses, she practiced photojournalistic style daily. She had completely immersed herself into photo media and dedicated most of her time to mastering the craft. Soon after, she began teaching photography courses under Lisa Keene at Crown Point High School. A few months later, she scored an internship with Professional Photographer Aaron Brown, who she kindly thanks for his patience and dedication to teaching her photography at such a young age.
Throughout her training, Lovin even dabbled with 35mm film and acquired 50+ film cameras over time. She was 16 when she got her first paying job in a classic photography studio with Larry Titak Photography & Video. Lovin traveled to Europe (Serbia) and shot her heart out for 6 weeks, coming home with thousands of images. At age 17, she already had a neat stack of State and National photography awards, and then her senior year photography portfolio placed Excellent at the National Scholastic Press Association convention at our nation's capital, presented in front of 5000+ journalists.
Photography is what keeps her heart beating, but until recently all her images have been hoarded in files rather than being shared with the world. Many of her friends and peers tell Lovin that she is the reason they're passionate about capturing their own moments, but they have only seen a small percentage of her work. Please, enjoy her images posted here and on Lovin Photos' Facebook page as well as her Instagram @lovin.photos
Message from Evi:
Thank you all for supporting me and encouraging me to do what I love thus far. Thank you for visiting my site, and as always, please feel free to contact me for sessions or other photo inquiries. To the budding photographers stopping by for inspiration: don't hesitate to send me questions or ask for advice, as I am thoroughly enthused to spread the photo magic just as my mentors have so generous done for me. Much love & keep shooting!
